Vote "No" on Propositions 74, 75, 76 and 77!

Ordinarily we wouldn’t presume to tell you how to vote, but if the wrong results occur in next month’s special election, injured workers could be deprived of decent benefits and humane medical care until at least 2012!

Gov. Schwarzenegger declared war on you in 2004 when he forced enactment of a law that makes it much harder for you to get medical treatment and permanent disability benefits. Then he wrote regulations that go far beyond the law and reduce benefits by an average of 70%!

Now his goal in November is to prevent the Legislature – and those who speak up for working families – from correcting the horrible injustice he has inflicted on you. His so-called "reform" ballot measures – Propositions 74, 75, 76 and 77 – are aimed at disenfranchising working families, and paving the way for anti-worker forces to seize control of the Legislature.

Proposition 75 would stifle political participation by teachers, police officers, firefighters, and other public employees. If the Governor is successful, those who stand up for working men and women will have a hard time getting their voices heard in Sacramento. Vote "No" on Proposition 75.

Proposition 77 would give him the power to appoint three political cronies to redraw legislative and congressional districts. If the Governor is successful, pro-worker lawmakers will be defeated, and instead, only those who only care about the company’s bottom line will be elected. Vote "No" on Proposition 77.

For your sake, and that of all injured workers, we urge you to vote "No" on Propositions 75 and 77; and vote "No" on Propositions 74 and 76 as well.
