MEETING THE CHALLENGES FOR 2008

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!  We hope that you had a wonderful holiday season.

As we start the New Year, we anticipate that the Governor’s 2004 “reform” (SB 899) of the California Workers’ Compensation system will continue to make it difficult for disabled workers to obtain prompt medical treatment and fair permanent disability benefits, and the insurance companies will profit even more.

In the face of these challenges, our firm continues to lead the way in innovating approaches to prove what our clients are entitled to, including:

As in previous years, Mr. Martin continued to lecture in 2007 throughout the State to lawyers and doctors about new ways to serve disabled workers in a system that is more complex than ever.  It was a special privilege for Mr. Martin to give a lecture at U.C.L.A. School of Law on innovative approaches to navigate the requirements of the new laws.   Mr. Martin has recently accepted an appointment to the Education Committee of the California Applicant’s Attorneys Association (CAAA), and will continue to serve on CAAA’s Board of Governors

In 2008, we will continue innovating new approaches to effectively represent workers injured on the job, and we sincerely appreciate the confidence you express in us by your referrals.
