New Organization Formed by Injured Workers for Injured Workers!
Current State of Workers' Compensation in Disarray
You know what its like going through a work injury. Its not easy. After the passage of Governor Schwarzenegger's so called "reform" of the California workers' compensation system (SB899), tens of thousands of injured workers have suffered delays and denials of medical treatment, and other benefits that would have been unthinkable before he took office. Simply put, the system is in desperate need of true reform - the kind of reform that helps injured workers through their ordeal, not makes it even harder.
A New Organization That Can Make a Difference: VIAW.org.
I'm excited to share with you an organization that I believe is going to make a positive difference on this terrible situation. VotersInjuredatWork.org (www.viaw.org) is a brand new organization formed by injured workers, for injured workers. I am both a supporter and a big fan of VIAW.org, and they have already built an impressive track record in getting both the media and the legislature to start paying attention to how the governor's "reform" has only increased the profits of the insurance industry at the expense of truly injured workers. Change is in the air, and you can be a part of it.
I urge you to visit their web site at www.viaw.org and consider joining their worthy cause. I have.
